  1. Keep your political comments and opinions to yourself please.
No matter what they are you will never be as awesome than the Motor City Madman...

  3. Politics aside (a little ironic since it seems he never misses an opportunity to talk about his politics) he's really just a minor footnote in rock history, in the same league as Frank Marino. I've seen him live, he's OK and fairly high-energy but follows a very dated shtick. His biggest chart success by far was in a band with members of Night Ranger in the early 90s.. would love to see you post hair metal artists haha.

    1. I have my opinion about his politics... he is no less of a moron than Roger Waters on the other side of the spectrum... just love The Amboy Dukes, his solo stuff and when driving I do give Damn Yankees a lot of airtime... I grew up in the 80's dude... so better believe it that Ratt, Motley Crue, Dokken, Winger, and all that lot get a lot of airplay in my house... life is not only free jazz and hippie stuff...lol

    2. he hates commies... that gives him a +1 in the book of anyone that grew in a society where you could go to jail for listening to rock music (like i did) always thought it was funny that one of my other favorite bands, Henry Cow would describe themselves as communists, while people where risking going to jail for listening to their music in a communist country...lol

    3. Personally I'm not the biggest fan of Hillary Clinton either, so maybe I have that one thing in common with him. I've heard him do awful gay-bashing and race-baiting for no apparent reason (in a local radio interview before his concert in my town). Personally I believe that if you're a real music fan, you have to be able to separate the music from the person making it, and judge on the music alone.

  4. I'm right there with you on The Amboy Dukes and admire the wide range of your musical taste.

But it sure as fuck should be, if those that you listed are the alternatives.

    (How's that for a politics-free comment?)

  6. Long-time fan of this site; now an even bigger fan after reading Zen's well-deserved middle finger to Communism. Hear, hear!

Don't really have any strong opinions on the Nuge other than FREE FOR ALL is one of the GREAT hard rock albums of the 1970s. I'll always feel that the world got cheated out of a classic combo once Nugent and Meat Loaf parted company (not that they were ever really a team, precisely)....but we did get one *incredible* album out of the deal at least...
