Private release. Four CD's in a spiral bound serrated black cover and semi-transparent and black slips.
Produced for the Faust mailing list as a record of the Faust 'Day in the Life' special presented by Andy Wilson and Ian Land for Resonance Radio, 4th August 2002. Combines live, rare and previously unreleased tracks as well as interviews with Chris Cutler and Jochen Irmler. Disc Z is made up of Keef Robert's Faust Redux project.

The title of track U-11 is only graphically represented by drawings of an ear, an arrow and a fish.

Maybe only for the truly devoted fan, but not a bad collection all in all. The first disc offers up some pretty good rarities, including clips from an interview with Chris Cutler talking about the band. The second disc features four tracks from a 1996 performance in London, four solo tracks by Hans-Joachim Irmler, and a lengthy clip of Irmler responding to questions in a kind of interview format. It can be kind of hard to hear what he's saying at times, but mostly it's full of interesting information about the band & Irmler's background that fans would love to know. The third disc (subtitled "Faust Tapes II") is worth seeking out by itself, being a gleefully dense and fast-paced mashup/collage of all the classic Faust tracks into one long sonic adventure. The last disc contains some rarities and some very rough recordings of a 1994 performance in Connecticut that I was surprised weren't cleaned up, or that better recordings of a similar performance weren't found & substituted.
Basically, if you're even a casual fan of Faust, you'll probably find it worthwhile to seek this out & download it for what it does have to offer, and big enough fans will probably do so anyway, since I'm not sure how hard it is to get a hold of this in physical format. But unless you're truly insane about this band like me, you probably wouldn't find it worthwhile
