Take the Grateful Dead at their 1969 best, but with Frank Zappa replacing Jerry Garcia, lock them in a room with Sun Ra and his Arkestra, and feed them all the drugs that George Clinton took between 1967 and 1982, turn the amps up to 11 and run the tape backwards, and you might -- MIGHT -- get something that sounds a little like this. But not as free, obviously.  In these 70 odd minutes, we have drone, relentless psychedelic rock freakouts, lots of cool acoustic moments, and probably the definitive version of Pink Lady Lemonade. Everything right down to the artwork is just fucking incredible.
